I chose to base my magazine around the style of Kerrang and Rock Sound. They are helping me produce and form my own ideas for my magazine. Both magazines use a specific genre that targets a certain sterotype. Their layouts are quite similar, they both have a picture that stands out in the middle and a big, bold title, Rock Sound seems to have more writing than Kerrang, and Kerrang has more pictures. They both look very exciting and are full of pictures and information to suit the reader. Some of the pictures on these covers overlap the title which shows they are very popular magazines. The stratchy font in both magazines show they are both quite dangerous. They both have included alot of font styles and mostly three different colours to match a scheme, moslty black and white with one extra added colour so it stands out. The main photos on the covers look fun, exploding and very in your face so they stand out. I'd like to get influence from both these magazines because they are exciting and stand out.
